What is GAME.EUS?
GAME.EUS is a 5-week intensive video game development studio acceleration campus that aims to enhance your business opportunities to boost your success in the market.
How much does it cost to participate in the campus?
GAME.EUS is a totally free programme because it is funded by the Basque Government and the Provincial Council of Alava.
What services do we offer the teams?
The participating teams will have a workspace at the EUNEIZ university where the programme will be developed on a daily basis; a return ticket to Vitoria, if necessary, with a refund limit of up to €200 per person; accommodation in the city (a fully-furnished apartment for two people); a local public transport pass (bus, tram); bicycles; and access to the BAKH (Baskonia Alaves Kirol Hiria), the Baskonia sports’ city, for the duration of the programme. In addition, breakfast and lunch will be offered free of charge at the BAKH on weekdays. Finally, one person from each team will receive a free trip to the GAMESCOM fair which will include the flight (return flight ticket to Cologne), the hotel (3 nights), entrance to the fair and a MeetToMatch account, as well as a specific amount of money per team for transportation costs and daily subsistence allowances for each day of the fair.
What type of teams can form part of the programme?
Established development teams or companies with their headquarters in the Basque Country or in the rest of Spain whose main objective or business activity is the development or production of video games can form part of GAME.EUS.
What are the minimum requirements to be able to enter?
Any video game at an advanced development stage, known as a ‘vertical slice’; i.e., it must meet the following requirements:
- Final quality in all aspects (especially the graphics)
- Fully playable
- Doesn’t contain any major bugs
- Shows the full potential of the final game
- Has at least 5 minutes of play
Teams must include all the basic profiles required in the development of a video game: game designer, artist and programmer. If they also include a marketing and/or business profile, this will be valued very positively.
The main evaluation criteria for selecting applicant teams are divided into two fields: the video game and the team. Below are the points that will be evaluated in each candidate:

- Experience of the art team

What methodology do we use and how do we work with teams?
One of the key aspects of the programme is its in-person nature. We provide a workspace in which the entire team can collaborate closely and receive advice direct from industry professionals.
We offer daily support from the programme’s staff: we provide constant and personalised support to the teams throughout the process.
Individual mentoring with experts from the video game industry: we provide expert advisory sessions for each team, guided by leading professionals in the sector.
The possibility to obtain contacts with publishers during the Demo Day: we offer teams the opportunity to present their projects to potential business partners.
Communication work to give visibility to the teams: we promote the visibility of the projects and the participating teams throughout the programme.
Networking between teams: we facilitate the exchange of ideas and collaboration between participants, encouraging the creation of synergies.
When is the registration period to apply to participate in the programme?
